Mark Brown, Ph.D.

Dr. Mark Brown, President of Phylloceuticals, has extensive expertise in organizational management, drug development, and biomanufacturing. He has served in a range of executive roles across the biotech and pharma industries as well as in academia. Outside his current role at Phylloceuticals, he is also a professor in clinical sciences at Colorado State University.   


In industry, Dr. Brown previously served in executive roles at other organizations including President, Chief Executive Officer, Vice President for Research and Development, and Corporate Quality Affairs. Over the past two decades, he has consulted for the pharma and biotech industries across scientific, clinical, regulatory, and quality affairs.   


At Colorado State, Brown served as Head of the Global Health and Health Disparities Section in the Colorado School of Public Health, as a Section Head in Clinical Sciences, and as a Molecular Oncologist in the Cancer Center. He also has a faculty appointment in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He has been regularly honored for his research achievements, innovative teaching practices, and his commitment to diversity and inclusion.   


Some of Dr. Brown's achievements include:  

  • Over 150 publications and keynotes
  • Development of dozens of applications for the clinical management of colorectal, hepatocellular, breast, and lung carcinomas as well as several forms of leukemia and infectious diseases
  • Dallas College Distinguished Alumni Award 
  • Professor of the Year
  • Distinguished Service Award for “Outstanding Commitment to the Newcomers in our Midst,” Catholic Charities Immigration, Advocacy and Refugee Services
