Curt Cornwell was an advisory partner within PwC’s Deals practice for over 20 years. He has significant experience advising clients in both the deals space as well as transformation efforts.
Early on in his career with PwC, one of his primary roles was as global relationship leader for multiple accounts, which lasted for roughly 17 years. While maintaining that global relationship role, Curt took on another role as the NY Private Equity Leader.
Shortly thereafter, in 2015 Curt became the US Sovereign Investment Fund Leader, which was his role there until retirement. As PwC’s NY Private Equity leader and later Sovereign Investment Fund leader, Curt drove CAGR of 15% and 19%, respectively, with both expansion at existing accounts and new account wins.
Curt has assisted several value-oriented private equity funds in executing large complex deals, linking diligence findings to value creation opportunities. His advice surrounding deals often included carve-out strategy, set up and operational growth options, bolt-on acquisitions, as well as exits.

Curt holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and BS in Accounting from Bucknell University. He is a CPA in both New York and Pennsylvania. Curt has extensive experience in multiple industries, including Medtech and Devices, Consumer Products, Pharmaceuticals, Business Services, Technology, and Industrial products.
